Are There Other Uses For A Chair Lift For Stairs?

When most people think about installing chair lifts for stairs, they only think of them as being used to personally go up or down the stairs to access other areas of the their home. And while that is in fact the biggest use for a chair lift, it is not their only use. In fact, you'll find they can assist you in so many other great ways in your daily life.

For example, you can use a chair lift for stairs to place your laundry basket on to get your clothes up or down the stairs. The same can be said for grocery bags or shopping bags and boxes.

I've also seen stair lifts used to move small furniture up the steps so it can be placed in an upstairs bedroom. Trying to lug a heavy piece of furniture up the steps can be impossible for anyone with mobility issues. A chair lift makes it quick and simple, while also eliminating the potential for a serious fall or accident.

These are only a few other uses for a chair lift for stairs. You may also find additional uses once you have your lift installed. The key point is that a lift is not just for getting yourself up or down the stairs, it can also be used for so many other things that would normally be extremely difficult without it.
